Bronek Kozka’s work, ‘Fair Dinkum Offshore Processing’, exhibited in Sydney’s 2016 Sculpture by the Sea exhibition was destroyed by ‘king tides’ less than a week after the opening. During an unexpected storm Bronek’s work was swept off Tamarama Beach into the sea along with the work of three other exhibiting artists.  (more…)


MARS is proud to announce we now represent Cameron Robbins.

Cameron’s work is based on interaction with natural forces and the elements. He has devised many ways of producing a kind of collaboration between artist and nature.

Since 1990 he has produced exhibitions, residencies and commissions in Australia, Europe and Asia . These include exhibitions at Museum of Old and New Art MONA (Hobart), National Gallery of Victoria (International), Setouchi Festival of Art Japan, Artspace (Sydney), Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (Melbourne), Perth Institute of Contemporary Art PICA (Perth), Latrobe Regional Gallery (Morwell), Gallery Barry Keldoulis (Sydney), East China Normal University (Shanghai), Hong Kong and Korean International Art Fairs.

Following on from the success of The Inaugural Program in March this year, Melbourne Central is launching Melbourne Central Art Loop: Series Two, Issues of Today Curated by MARS, the exhibition will include new video work running on a loop across 15 state of the art video screens from contemporary Australian artists.        

The Lower Ground Projector Portals will be exhibiting new work specially commissioned by Melbourne Central.

Melbourne Central Art Loop: Series Two, Issues of Today will run through to 17 February 2017.

Simon Finn’s solo exhibition, BEYOND THE FRUSTUM, curated by Paul Northam, is now showing at La Trobe University Museum of Art (LUMA) until 23 September.
BEYOND THE FRUSTUM will then travel to the Visual Arts Centre La Trobe University, Bendigo from 10 November – 23 December.
Simon Finn is currently a finalist in The Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA), Grafton Regional Gallery and The Paul Guest Prize, Bendigo Art Gallery.
