Al Stark | As is… what is.
8 – 24 June 2017
This body of work examines the collective sub-conscious in relation to maintaining forms of optimism, in the face of global anxiety.
It questions the psychology of hope and acceptance needed in order to live with a sense of purpose in an increasingly fearful age.
Deep colour works including, objects, paintings and textiles form beautiful and contemplative psychic landscapes that offer solace whilst recognising the collective anxieties in which they must exist.
As is, of the window in a sinking ship with a view of the sublime.
