Bad Luck Feels… brings together a series of sketchy oil paintings in sepia on unstretched linen, with etchings on paper and ceramic relief sculptures by Chris Dolman. The works stem from Dolman’s recent year in Europe, where the artist travelled through England, Belgium and France on residencies researching modernist and medieval art.

The exhibition sees Dolman continue his goofy brand of self portraiture with a cast of dishevelled and dismembered characters fighting for dominance within dark and absurd tableaus. The toss of a coin or a roll of the dice will decide the fate of these poor souls. Just hope that their bad luck doesn’t rub off on you.
