This exhibition is a series epitaphs to our failure as a species to fulfil our potential. It draws on the idea that the human animal has the potential to sustain and respect its-self, as well as other living creatures and its environment, but will fail to do so due to Inherent and complex mechanisms of psychic numbing and denial.
It is the supposition that mixed within these subconscious complexities is a collective anxiety and guilt, leading to an increasing endemic of collective depression. As natural resources dwindle, in-equalities proliferate, and the age of extinction draws forth we are becoming sadder.
This series of work serves as an abstract physical manifestation of these notions. They serve as ghosts holding lanterns to the abyss.
