Atong Atem Artist Talk | Design Museum, UK

Atong Atem will soon be participating in a talk for Fashion Hub Weekend at the Design Museum in Kensington, UK.

Moderated by Brett Rogers OBE (Director of The Photographer’s Gallery, UK), Atong Atem will take part in a panel discussion that will delve into Australia’s diverse and multicultural communities and identities through the twinned lenses of fashion and immigration.

In partnership with SCCI: Sherman Centre for Culture and Ideas, this symposium will explore fashion and its intersections with film, technology, social justice, business and the environment focusing on the Australian influence on the global fashion conversation. Thinkers, makers and designers will discuss future trends in textile innovation, raw materials and garment construction and their impact on art, politics, international diplomacy, commerce, education and speculative futures.
