Atong Atem presents a new, three dimensional self-portrait in ‘Portrait 23: Identity’ at the National Portrait Gallery. In this work Atem explores non-western traditions of recording history and sharing memories, as well as her own relationship with photography.
The exhibition can be viewed daily from Friday 10 March until Sunday 18 June 2023.
A limited edition print of Atem’s Studio ’85 is currently available through PHOTO 2024, supporting the upcoming festival. Learn more at photo.org.au
