Congratulations to Damien Shen who was selected as a finalist in the The Telstra National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (NATSIAA) exhibition. These awards showcase the very best of Australian Indigenous art from around the country and demonstrate the richness and diversity of current contemporary Indigenous artistic practice, and the pre-eminence of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices, nationwide, within the visual arts.
Damien was also recently a finalist in the 2019 Olive Cotton Awards. This biennial national award for excellence in photographic portraiture is dedicated to the memory of one of Australia’s leading twentieth century photographers, Olive Cotton. The Award has grown and gained national recognition attracting entries from well-known and emerging photographers across Australia.
