Hannah Raisin is a Melbourne based video and performance artist. In 2012 she graduated with honours from the Victorian College of the Arts. Since 2007 She has also exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions throughout Australia.
In 2013 Raisin was the recipient of both the Australia Council for the Arts ArtStart and New Work Grants. In 2012 she was awarded the VCA Rosemary Ricker, Shermerdine Art, VCA Substation Exhibition and NGV Women’s Association awards and was a finalist in the Bowness photography prize. She also received a 2010 Jump mentorship, 2009 Next Wave Kickstart, was a member of Arts Victoria’s Youth Arts Reference Group 2010-2012 and was a founding board member of Rear View Gallery 2008-2010.
This body of work was developed through a mobile art residency in remote outback Australia made possible with the generous support of the Australia Council for the Arts Art Start and New Works grants.
