Jason Sims unveils Golden Rhombohedron (obtuse)

Congratulations to Jason Sims who has recently unveiled Golden Rhombohedron (obtuse) in Grote Street, Adelaide as part of Illuminate Adelaide.

Every winter, for two weeks and three weekends, Illuminate Adelaide lights up the city’s streets, laneways and architecture with a program of free and ticketed events by local, national and international artists and companies in a celebration of innovation, music, art, light and technology. This year, Illuminate Adelaide and the City of Adelaide joined forces to commission a new public artwork as a gift to the city to celebrate their inaugural year.

The work Golden Rhombohedron (obtuse) by South Australian artist Jason Sims accompanies Golden Rhombohedron (acute) completed in 2017. Designed to bookend the Market to Riverbank link, the pair follows upon his long-running interest in using light and reflection to create playful illusions of space and form.
