5 July – 31 July

The notion of Country and connection is a complex reality for First Peoples in Australia. It is not just the physical landscape – it is a deep cultural and spiritual connection between individuals, communities, the land (including sky and water) and all living things. Family runs deeply within this also, the hereditary interrelation too can be a complicated navigation for many. Especially due to altered paths. For Lisa, Family is the pinnacle of her practice the imprint of its existence and is always at the forefront of her work. At times nature has replaced Lost, Hidden and Stolen aspects of her life – nature becomes the connector and a great sense of belonging. IMPRINTED details Lisa’s delicate yet strong interconnected narratives and the underlying beliefs in the assumption of human qualities that are innate and intrinsic within.
