WHAT: MARS Art Start.

An evening to learn about the ins and outs of starting an art collection.

WHERE: MARS Gallery, 7 James Street, Windsor.

WHEN: Friday, 23rd April at 6pm.

MARS Gallery is delighted to announce an upcoming event. Called Art Start, this is a rare opportunity for aspiring art collectors. Speakers will share their experiences and insights, all questions will be answered, and attendees will be able to chat directly to these experts.

Speakers include: Diego Ramirez – a young artist, writer, and director of Ari will talk about how to buy art for an artist-run space. Nikita Le Messurier – a young collector – will talk about her experience using Art Money, and what to watch for when art shopping from a collector’s point of view. Lucy Foster (from Leonard Joel) will provide information about the auction process – how to bid, when to stop, and the surprisingly low cost of buying at auction. Young gallerist, Vinaya Marriott, will give tips for shopping at galleries.

This will be followed by a tour of the MARS stockroom, drinks, and the chance to ask any question aspiring collectors have ever had about buying art.
