Congratulations to Stephen Haley, Tony Lloyd and Sophia Hewson who have been shortlisted as a finalists for the R & M McGivern Prize 2019.

The R & M McGivern Prize is an acquisitive award and aims to promote artistic excellence in painting and build a high quality collection for the Maroondah region. The exhibition of finalists will be held across two venues, ArtSpace at Realm and Maroondah Federation Estate Gallery, Ringwood from 23 November 2019 to 2 February 2020.

We are thrilled to announce that Damien Shen's ‘A Stone from Another Mountain’ is now showing at the Art Gallery of South Australia. This triptych was created as part of the Catapult | Tarnanthi mentorship program run in partnership by Guildhouse and AGSA.

Congratulations to Alexis Beckett who was commissioned to create an artwork for seven aluminium laser cut screens. Her design was inspired by her own embossed relief images and designs in paper. For these panels, she created a work centred around the local bird, flora and fauna of the Bayside area.

Congratulations to Tricky Walsh who will be exhibiting new work in "Cosmopolis # 2: rethinking the human" from 23 October - 23 December at Centre Pompidou, Paris.
"Cosmopolis # 2" presents constellations of works around technological diversity, the relationship between place and scale, and the affirmation of other modes of existence and cosmologies.

MARS is proud to announce that Brie Trenerry is presenting an exciting exhibition at the conclusion of a residency with KBT at TNUA Taipei, with Kuandu Museum of Fine Art (KdMoFA) / RMIT University. The project, You say Phonetic, I say Fanatic will be showing from 16 September - 25 October 2019, in Taipei, Taiwan.
