This new series of works explores Tupou’s fascination with the future and its undeniable influence on culture, linguistics and mortality. The future’s imposing presence is a base instigator of many human pursuits such as wealth, security, leisure, food and sex. Through the juxtaposition of zoomorphic imagery and neon patterning these new works investigate links between animal instincts and human nature, exploring notions of evolution, destiny, coincidence and luck.
