MARS artist Tricky Walsh was recently commissioned to create a new work, in collaboration with sound artist Sharon Mashini, for an exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Richmond, Virginia. The show, So it Appears, addresses abstract art of the last twenty years, demonstrating how abstraction can be visual strategy to reveal challenges of representation. Walsh’s work, The Arpanet, includes an interacive augmented reality element, and is on view at the ICA until the 16th of July, 2023.
Tricky will exhibit a series a of new work at MARS in September/October 2023.
