MARS is excited to be exhibiting internationally acclaimed artist Xiao Lu as part of PHOTO 2024!

Xiao Lu’s work is held in major collections globally, including the NGV, TATE, and MOMA. She explores distorted fragments of modern Chinese history and the truth hidden within a web of distorted narratives. In The Dignity of Remembering, Xiao Lu presents fragments of history as she experienced them to ensure they are not forgotten. The exhibition includes never before shown photographs and videos captured in Beijing and Hong Kong. Visitors are invited to experience a sense of situational resonance of the historical upheavals, protests and violence through the perspective of legendary artist Xiao Lu.
