Nick Mourtzakis Artist Statement:
Before there was a definition for drawing, there was drawing.
There was a moving hand and there was drawing.
In a world as ancient as one can imagine, human beings symbolically traced and embodied the contours of their relation to and engagement with the environment and nature.
Drawing now still forms and frames a pass from consciousness and self to a world that is a totality and mystery.Drawing for me, is a question one asks.
