This small series of self portraits is Harry’s first attempt at investigating his own image as a subject matter, in contrast to the rest of his portraits. As such, they attempt to diverge from the traditional notion of the self portrait as illuminating, through presenting them as a series, it highlights the different approach taken for each portrait.

About Harry Crome:

Harry Crome (b.2001) is an Australian artist born and based in Melbourne, Victoria. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Fine Arts and Music in 2025. His work mainly consists of drawings using many different mediums, with the subject matter mainly consisting of portraits if friends and family, and figurative works. His works have been featured in multiple group shows and are owned in private collections throughout Victoria.
