Scotty So Acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria

The good news continues for Scotty So! We are proud to announce that Scotty has been acquired by the National Gallery of Australia.

Scotty's work, Suburbkin, was purchased 2024 with support from the Neilson Foundation for the National Gallery of Australia Art Cases. The National Gallery’s Art Cases are generously supported by the Neilson Foundation with grateful acknowledgement of founding patrons Elaine and Jim Wolfensoh.

Opening at MARS on December 6 from 6-8pm, Scotty's monumental series of new work, Maybe She Was There, explores nostalgia, immortality, and the artist’s whimsical, queer-inflected attempts to preserve beauty and legacy.
