Emil Cañita acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria!

From opening their first solo exhibition at MARS, to making their debut at Sydney Contemporary, 2024 has been a monumental art year for Emil Cañita!

 

Emil's solo exhibition, At First I Was Afraid, opened at MARS in March, bringing their intimate and personal expression to the gallery for the first time. 

 

We are so excited to announce that five of Emil's works were acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria! 

 

These profound works and the stories they hold will now join the NGV's collection.
