Marking his debut solo show at the Melbourne Art Fair, Poems and Portraits showcases a new series of Kenny Pittock's shopping list sculptures, all based on actual lists found while working at a supermarket, creating a permanent record of a fleeting moment.
Featuring a new collection of 3 aluminium sculptures, alongside 52 ceramic pieces, these hand-painted replicas read like poetry, and are often as revealing as portraiture. Despite their anonymity the works are extremely intimate, providing a unique insight into the people we pass in the aisles. Poems and Portraits invites us to find the humour and the human in the seemingly mundane.
Join us at Booth E2 from 20 - 23 February at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre!
Make sure to visit the Australian Tapestry Workshop at Booth J3 to see Atong Atem's tapestry, Self Portrait in July 4.
