MARS Gallery is delighted to announce representation of Will and Garrett Huxley, the dazzling artistic couple known for their genre-defying blend of performance, photography, and glam-rock spectacle.
Over 15 years of performance and photography, The Huxleys have established themselves as an iconic creative force. The Huxleys truly do everything together throughout their creative process. From creating their out-of-this-world costumes, staging and photographing each surreal and joyous series, to constructing video works and delivering performances, their work crystallises through their camp humour and stunning visuals.
The Huxleys have performed and exhibited widely in Australia including with the NGV, Melbourne Fashion Week, Art Gallery of New South Wales, and a major 10 year retrospective at the Fremantle Arts Centre in 2024. They have presented internationally in Tokyo, London, Berlin, New York and Hong Kong, and their works are held in major collections such as the Museum of Australian Photography and the National Portrait Gallery.
From 17 December to 7 February, The Huxleys will stage a full building takeover of MARS Gallery in their exhibition Life on Mars, including a dazzling 24-hour art event starting with an opening night party from 6–8pm on 17 December. At 7:30, The Huxleys will perform on the MARS Gallery rooftop against the backdrop of city lights, after which the exhibition will remain open overnight.
