Congratulations to Damien Shen for a successful year so far with numerous institutional acquisitions and exhibitions lined up in Australia!
Damien's latest tintype series were recently shown in MARS' curated exhibition 'Temporal Legacies' for Melbourne Art Fair 2026. The presentation featured a significant line-up of First Nations artists investigating the complexities of their heritage through their unique voices.
Damien's works were acquired by the institutions Tweed Regional Gallery, NSW and Manningham Art Gallery, VIC since the fair.
Manningham Art Gallery will be showcasing Damien's tintypes and his video work My Cuzzy Nate and the 654 Club in a major exhibition titled 'what we share' between 20 May – 29 August 2026. The exhibition presents powerful First Nations storytelling through photography, moving image and spoken word.
