MARS proudly ran the tender for the integrated public artwork for Preston's Bell St Station as part of the Level Crossing Removal Project. We are excited to announce that Lisa Waup's work has now been installed!
Lisa Waup is a mixed-cultural First Nations artist and curator, born in Narrm (Melbourne), whose multidisciplinary practice reflects her personal experiences, family history, Country, and broader historical narratives.
Waup's work acts as a conduit between Country and people, the past, present and future. The sculpture’s form traces personal lines intertwined with those of Country, allowing subtle interplay as seasons shift and daylight and shadows transform the piece.
This integrated artwork marks the 15th tender Andy Dinan has been responsible for running with the associated alliances for the Level Crossing Removal Project!
