MARS is delighted to present the group exhibition "It was a very quiet night in art heaven, in fact, a starry, starry night, when Vincent who was quite bored because he couldn’t find Pablo looked across at Michelangelo and Leonardo and said, “Let’s get the hell out of here and get to MARS to see what the youngsters are drawing," showing from 15 October - 14 November. Featuring works by Godwin Bradbeer, Chun Yin Rainbow Chan, Jenna Lee, Dani McKenzie, Harry McAlpine, Nick Mourtzakis, Eva Nolan, Kenny Pittock, Damien Shen, Scotty So and more artists.
This exhibition celebrates the enduring and diverse medium of drawing, offering an insight into the artist’s hand and revealing the unique intimacy of the drawn line. Bringing together local artists from a range of practices, the show explores drawing as a fundamental craft shared by all artists, while tracing its evolving role in contemporary art.
