The boutique hotel, designed by leading Melbourne architects, Kennedy Nolan, epitomises a distinctly Melburnian dynamism, reflecting the cultures, communities and artistic pulse that defines our city.
MARS Gallery Director, Andy Dinan, is delighted to be curating the art at Melbourne Place. The boutique hotel will feature a three-storey screen showing video works by Atong Atem, Brodie Kokkinos, Tristan Jalleh, Cameron Robbins and Kent Morris.
On every floor of Melbourne Place, guests will meet eye-to-eye with one of Atong Atem’s portraits.
Melbourne Place Hotel marks an exciting shift in Australian hotel art, where cohesion is not in colour or coordination, but in the diversity of Australian contemporary art.
