MARS is delighted to announce the inclusion of artists Kohl Tyler and Chun Yin Rainbow Chan in the upcoming NGV Triennial 2026 from 13 December, 2026 to 11 April, 2027 at the NGV International.
Five of Kohl’s ceramic works will be featured, as well as Rainbow’s video work Three Days After 三朝回門 . Congratulations Kohl and Rainbow!
Working primarily in ceramics and occasionally in watercolour and social practice, Kohl Tyler explores ephemerality, interconnectedness, and the natural archive—understood as nature’s own record of time and transformation, through a speculative design lens.
Chun Yin Rainbow Chan (陳雋然) is an interdisciplinary artist, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist based in Naarm/Melbourne and Gadigal/Sydney. Working fluidly across contemporary visual art and popular music, Chan's work is grounded in her ancestral ties to the Weitou people — Hong Kong’s first settlers. Chan revitalises endangered women’s folk traditions, reinterpreting them through immersive installations, silk painting, traditional weaving, sound, and performance, for contemporary audiences.
