Artist Statement
The work, handmade from sustainably sourced recycled cardboard, depicts a weatherboard structure raised on stilts with set of concertina unfolding shutters revealing an empty curtained stage with foot lights. Atop sits a tuba like instrument with complicated pipework leading to a downturned horn section creating a type of feed back loop.
The process in which an output of a system is fed back as an input of a system will inevitably lead to an empty stage.
